The four checks before any listing goes live
Business proof. A GST, company registration or Udyam number, or for very small businesses a shop licence or other proof that they operate.
Contact check. We call the listed phone number and get a reply from the company’s email address.
Presence check. A working website or social page, and an office address we can confirm.
Red-flag check. No requests for money from candidates, no recruiters who use only a personal email, no vague job descriptions.
Employers that receive repeated reports are paused until we review them again.
Rules every listing must follow
Pay (stipend or salary range), location, work mode and experience are mandatory. Internships must state a duration.
Experience required can be none, or up to one year. Nothing more.
Listings that mention registration fees, deposits, training fees or kit charges are blocked automatically.
Any employer found charging a candidate is removed, along with all their listings.
The reply rule
Employers must update every application within 7 days: seen, shortlisted, interview, on hold or not selected. Each employer sees a timer on every applicant. When a deadline passes, the student is told, the miss counts against the employer’s public reply record, and their listings move down in search. After repeated misses on a listing, it is paused until they reply.
When an employer does not select you, they can give a short reason.
Reports
There is a report button on every listing and every employer page. We aim to review each report within 48 hours. The employer is not told who reported them. Our safety guide explains what to do if you have already paid someone, and the community guidelines set out what we remove.
How to spot a fake job
These apply on any job site, WhatsApp group or Telegram channel, not just ours.
They ask for money. Registration fee, security deposit, training fee, laptop or kit charge, “refundable” anything. A real employer pays you; you never pay them.
The offer comes without an interview. Or the only interview is a chat on WhatsApp or Telegram.
The recruiter has no company email. Only Gmail, Yahoo or a phone number, and they dodge when you ask for the office address.
The description could fit any company. “Data entry, work from home, ₹40,000 a month, no experience” is a classic.
They want documents too early. Aadhaar, PAN, bank details or an OTP before you have an offer letter on company letterhead.
They rush you. “Only 2 seats left, pay today to confirm.”
The pay is far above the market. Compare it with similar fresher roles in your city on this site.
If you have already paid someone, keep every message and receipt and report it at the national cybercrime portal (cybercrime.gov.in) or by calling 1930. If it happened through JobsHub, tell us as well.
